A Little Attention Goes A Long Way.

In hospitals you meet patients, that's like saying you go to a police station and you meet policemen.

The group of us entered the ward, scanning the patients to pick our next target for our case presentation. Not many noticed the man in the corner in a wheelchair eyeing us with great interest. He was easily dismissible and judging from his physical outlook, most students would tend to avoid him. It was only when we realised that the rest of the patients in the ward was uncooperative did we decide to take a chance on this eager patient and talk to him.

In regular hospitals, patients come in and then they leave when they're better. But in the Orang Asli Hospital, patients were allowed to stay for as long as they wish. After attempting to talk to him, we finally left and we approached a nurse asking about the man's condition. It was then that we realise that he had been one of the "permanent residents" of the hospital. The hospital had been his home since he was young. Perhaps all he sees is the nurses and the patients that come and go. Who knew if he had family members who visited him? Was his enthusiasm to see us because noone really paid any attention to him throughout the years? Who knew?

But it was something, seeing the joy in someone's face, to see the eyes that lighted up, simply a product of a gesture of noticing.

Sleeping..too much.

Yes, close those gaping jaws but there really is such a thing. For me anyway. Of course I never get too much sleep if the sleep you're referring to is the night one. But let's say after that, after I've woken up, I feel tired so I take a nap. Like a pretty long nap.

Then the effects start coming. The thing is for these naps, I can't wake up. I just keep falling back to sleep. And when and if I do force myself to wake up, I feel groggy like hell, completely disorientated, blur, like I haven't stepped back into reality yet. Even better, my memory would be all fuzzy. The cherry on top of the cake? 98% of the times after I've woken up from these long naps usually end up with me suffering from a headache which feels as though someone had hit my head with a sledgehammer.

I think I may function better sleep deprived.

Well obviously I'm 13 days late but hey, better late than never right?

As usual, life is full of procrastination for me till I'm too lazy to blog about it haha. I'm in the midst of rotations in uni, which means lab, some community med stuff, some clinical stuff, GP postings, and Gombak rotations. I got too involved with thinking ethically correct and politically correct these past few days with com. med and selectives which is politics for me.

New year so what's my new year's resolutions? Well, I've never had resolutions nor am I planning to start any because really, haha, I can't think of anything to make resolutions of. Because in everything that you do, might as well do your best.

Well, I'm hitting 2-0 this year, and darn, I feel old. Hahaha. Also, I'm into mellow lyrical hipster indie music these days.

Upon my quest of sniffing through various scents to find the perfect ones for the perfect people, I chanced upon Gucci Guilty for Women. With it's top notes of mandarin and pink pepper, middle notes of lilac, geranium and peach, and base notes of patchouli and amber, it definitely stood out.

Of course, there were other scents which stood out as well. Amongst them were, Chloe Perfume, Hugo Boss Femme,Versace Vanitas and the classic Chanel No. 5.

(And since this isn't exactly a blog about scents, I shan't explain further about each one, go sniff them yourself hehe. After all, to each her own. )

I probably have missed out many great scents out there in the market, but please, my nose cells can only take that much of sniffing in a day, and most of them cells are already dead from some of the overbearing strong scents. Though the entire day was spent mainly shopping for gifts that were not mine, I did enjoy myself tremendously, albeit an ache to the pockets and feet.

A movie worth my time.

Well finally there comes a movie worthy enough to blog about.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows was in my opinion, an even better movie than the first. Filled with awesome cinematography - you have to give credit for the brilliant slow motion scenes (in just the right amount) and the carefully thought-out moves that the director foreshadows. And a brilliant storyline - another one of those plots filled with twists, quick wit and brilliant calculated moves. And brilliant acting - come on, Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams and well basically the entire cast did a very good job in their portrayals of the characters.

Not often is the sequel better than the first. Not often doesn't mean it's impossible. Ah, good movies, something that definitely makes my day.

There are many things in life that makes me happy - ice cream, chocolates, chilling at the beach, laughing with friends, nice weather...well, the list goes on.

Sometimes, it's the simpler things that make you happy.

A hug from someone. A smile from someone. The laughter from someone. The mere company of someone. The mere presence of someone. Things that are often overlooked and yet can just turn that frown upside down.

Like this bolster I have that can provide me the most comfortable rest I've ever had. So comfy that I could just hug it and never let it go.

You know how when you were in high school and you had to study for an exam, you grumble, you procrastinate and eventually you still just do mug away? (well for me anyway, maybe for the rest of you out there it's different)

Well, it's completely different for me now. I'm not sure, maybe it's because I studied too much in my younger days that I'm so totally reluctant to work hard now, maybe, or maybe it's just plain laziness? Because..I've reached to the point that I grumble, I procrastinate, and then I really don't want to study. To the point where it's a hatred to study. Like a little kid being forced to eat vegetables.

Yet I know I have no choice but to study. Because among all courses, I picked one that requires constant brain hammering, I picked something that is definitely out of my even-if-I-didn't-study-for-it-I-would-pass reach. Something which I actually have to work for.

Sigh, I sound so incredibly lazy lol. Maybe it's just laziness. Maybe the panic bug just hasn't bit me yet. Maybe I'm just PMS-ing. Whatever. Meh.

Lion King in 3D, ah it brings back childhood memories :) No doubt, Lion King is one of the classic movies that all little kids should watch. At least once. The 3D effects were not too bad, I've seen worse 3D movies that aren't worth your money at all.

After a morning/early afternoon of pissiness. Yay to the irresponsible and to the blur and to the mishaps of everyday life. Such joy to deal with you.

Random thought that flash through my cluttered most-of-the-time empty mind.

I was out grocery shopping today and I remembered being paranoid about people stealing stuff from my trolley cart when I was a kid. It's the whole idea about always minding your stuff and being aware you're not getting robbed. When in actual fact, it doesn't really matter if someone does take stuff from your shopping cart, none of the things in there has been paid for yet anyway. So yea, noone would really bother.

But another thought occurred to me today, despite the fact that none of the items have been paid for, taking stuff from other people's carts actually do have it's benefits. For one thing, we shop for ourselves, meaning we pick the best produce, we check the expiry date, we make sure the cans of food aren't dented, we make sure what we've picked and about to purchase is worth the amount we're about to pay.

So let's say I am THAT lazy to go about picking my own stuff, going around picking bits of items off others' carts seem like a pretty good idea and a pretty good way to get good hand-picked produce.

But yea, sounds like a good idea but really, who would actually bother doing that kind of thing. I think it doesn't mean I'll actually do it. I blog about it because I have absolutely nothing else to blog about (believe me, my life is pretty much monotonously routine) and I think I really should be updating considering my co-blogger has kinda given up on blogging I think..haha.

Life in uni? Whee, we've entered reproduction week, cue testicular lesions and menstrual cycles. Music club welcoming party, acoustic night, HIV week concert, Pianotech concert, AGM meeting...the list might go on but it looks pretty bad as it is already. And I need to get that grand piano of the club's tuned, just remembered darn it.

Whee..to update, I'm still on my way to becoming a doctor :D

Orientation has begun yet again, NOISE is coming up, recruitment drive for Music & Performance Club is coming up, Acoustic Night should be somewhere along the way as well, some concert is going to be held at the end of the year, summatives should be somewhere along the way as well (hah, woe is me, I'm still procrastinating. So much for learning from past mistakes.), yeap, that pretty much seems like it so far.

Doesn't sound too bad, just a whole lot to do with my M&P club. What's depressing about sem 4 is that classes can end up till 7.30 pm. By then, stomachs would be growling, attention spans would be waning and I will most definitely be sleepy. Whee, so much for paying absolute full attention in class.

Oh wells. I'll deal with it :)

So yes, I am finally on holidays now. And as usual I do what I do best and basically try to turn my brains into mush by watching excessive amounts of shows and movies.

And shows really do have an effect on you, no, I'm not referring to the loss of knowledge. I've been on a Masterchef marathon lately. So when my plate of lamb shoulder was served, I cut a piece of meat and whilst cutting, I couldn't help thinking, this meat is kinda tough. Okay nevermind, so once the piece was cut, it was...not as pink as it was suppose to be. In other words, it turned out medium well instead of the medium I ordered. And the vegetables were boiled for too long, lost all taste, its like little pieces of pure fiber. Meh.

Watched The Notebook. And that is one sad sad movie. Good but sad.

Then comes thinking. But from here, it can go two ways - to the bright side or the dark side. So cross your fingers and hope that you stay away from the dark side. Regardless of the fact that it may seem more inviting and tempt you with cookies.

And then it's just plain surviving.

But if you're one of those lucky people in the world, you'll have people alongside you helping you survive.

Even the smallest of smallest gestures matter.

I'm back. To the world of pure laziness and procrastination, oh wait, it doesn't have to be procrastination anymore because it doesn't count as procrastination if you don't actually have something to procrastinate from. Hehe..its a long sentence but hey, for someone like me, i now have the time to type that. And if you don't have time to read it..lol, its okay :)

Exams ended today. That was just four days of pure mental exhaustion. Studying all that about anatomy and physiology and pathology and microbiology and..whatever..is one thing but having to sit through exams, feel the panic of exams, go through exam stress, go through the omg-I-screwed-up-my-exam phase, its all just so incredibly tiring.

But yeay, its over now :) It's like now I realised, woah, I feel soo tired. I think its probably because I really am mentally exhausted and there's probably some sleep deprivation thrown into the equation of preparation for the exam. Though I did actually get enough sleep yesterday..hmm..

To Expect The Unexpected.

I am home! What better way to celebrate than to just submerge myself in the wonderful world of technology, and the comforts of my home?

So momentary indulgence aside, I actually really enjoyed the KKB trip. True enough, we were all pretty negative and being constant whiners on the first night there..but hey, it turned out pretty good anyway. Of course the actual hospital rotation work actually kinda bored me after the first two days, but the non-medical parts of the trip were the best part of it.

There was the company. I think I spent more than half of my time in KKB laughing like a hyena and going equally as insane as the crazy company I had. Seriously, the nonsense and crap that we did and crapped about. It's all just one big LOL.

Due to the unfortunate timing of my trip, I had to spend my birthday there. And that turned out to be the best part of the trip. For me anyway, haha, what do you expect, you're asking the birthday girl, I'm being biased. But I do think it really was the best birthday celebration I've gotten so far. *cue big cheesy smile*

Yippee, back to mugging for now then. The joy.

An Ingrained Procrastination Instinct.

Rotations! Yeap, part and parcel of a medical student's life. I'll be leaving for Kuala Kubu Bharu in approximately 4 and 1/2 hours. Well..all I can prolly expect is..it's going to be one new experience for me.

Onto past matters, Acoustic Night is over thank goodness, now I can really start studying for my EOS and make sure I make it through without having to repeat. Actually I don't know if it should be thank goodness..the idea of mugging consecutively for 5 weeks..err, not too inviting.

Had my interview with a difficult patient, I got a long-winded patient. Honestly, it was quite fun. For me anyway, but that was probably because the patient I got was so nice as compared to the other patients the rest got which were, to be honest, quite frustrating. And apparently, I'm too nice..which makes me a dangerous doctor. Haha, well that's a first. First I was a heartless doctor who showed no empathy and now I'm too nice. Haha!

Actually..yea okay, I have no idea why I'm even blogging. Sometimes I do the randomest things. Like just now, I picked up "Dear John" and decided to just start reading it. Yea now. When the only things I should be reading is like..mama patho and lecture notes. I think it's some ingrained procrastination instinct I have, it just comes naturally. Haha, not exactly a good thing. Oh wells.

An Ineffective Holiday

So the first thing I do when I got wifi when I got back home was open Facebook. And the first few things to welcome me home was a nice little squabble on my committee's page about an upcoming event. Brilliant.

I really don't get the point of going for a holiday when the moment you go for a holiday, you forget everything, or at least you try to forget and shut down your guilty conscience, and when you come back home and back to the sad sad reality of ordinary life, you get smacked in the face with a whole load of unresolved matters and a heck load of guilty conscience. Boom, there goes all that rest and relaxation.

These are the times when I just want to smack myself in the head and ask why on earth did I agree to being president. Not only do you have to ensure that everything runs smoothly, you have to make sure that the decisions that you make are the right ones. Which brings me to question my own decision as to if that's the right one. Which brings me to doubt myself and question my capabilities. Which brings me to the brink of wanting to resign from this damned post so that I can live slightly less stress-free.

Because really, it's not as if I already don't have enough to do. Already I'm behind on my studies, really really behind, which brings me to question again what was the point of that holiday. I'm behind in so many aspects of my life that I just want everything to just..STOP.

I think I've fallen into a deep pitch-black chasm of negativity.

Just finished my AIR topic, which is one of the very few assignments we have in IMU..haha. And I'm here for the sake of updating this blog. Well, that and I do miss writing. But not as if I have stuff to blog about. Well, I do, or more specifically, I had, but it's kinda like once you miss that ohmph to write then that's it?

Summary: Orientation is over, yes finally, sad but at least that load is off. And just when I think "it's time to focus on making it past sem 3" *BAM* I suddenly have a whole lot of things to do. I must have been slightly delusional at that point to think that I'll ever be "free" to focus on studies. It's always the same old pattern, one event after another, since...primary school? Haha. Fun no doubt but with consequences.

So what do I have in store for me?

My band's joining the english singing competition in uni, I got involved in the dance for Easter which means constant practices till 15th April (which is the day of the event), I got being in charge for an Inter-varsity Scrabble Competition which I have to organise and stress over till 16th April (day of event), and I have to make sure I don't flunk out of med school, which means me actually not drifting off into who-knows-where with me looking totally focused on what the lecturer is saying, which means me not doing stuff like...read storybooks, stare into utter blank space, BLOG when I'm supposed to be studying, I emphasize on the supposed.

My sis is coming back on the 19th April, which basically means all weekends are booked for eating and shopping, which is an awesome thing but not so awesome at the end of it when I realise that I'm lacking time, yet again. Haha. Then I'm heading to Hong Kong again on 29th April I think for more shopping and food.

Ahahaha..what did I get myself into. And this is so far. I predict a storm of events brewing and heading my way (especially concerning my band). Haha.

Incredibly Bad Movie Award: Actually, this is kinda hard. "Faster" pops into my mind first, but thats because its the most recently watched. Compared to some on the list, its pretty..acceptable. I'm contemplating between the Twilights, Meatball cartoon or....okay, the award goes to "Land of the Lost". A completely and utter waste of time. And this movie actually does kill your brain cells, I joke not.

I don't exactly have an Incredibly Good Movie Award because there are a few that are really good but they don't exactly fall into the same category, so it would be unfair to judge. But here,

Repertoire of Good Movies: Shutter Island, Monster, Star Trek, Wit, Law Abiding Citizen, I Am Sam, Changeling, Rapunzel, The Machinist, The Young Victoria, Social Network, Artificial Intelligence, Tron Legacy, Holes, Donnie Darko, Brokeback Mountain.

Well, okay, if you don't agree with my choices, its fine. There are some movies that are actually quite enjoyable like Brideshead Revisited and Revolutionary Road, but they're a bit on the boring side if you're not the type for that kind of movies.

I would love to give you a detailed review on every movie on that list. But right now, I really need to watch this video about ECGs so we'll just leave it at that, shall we? :)

Who you're calling a small kid?

I never call my holidays unproductive. Because I can never get enough of it! To me, I have so much to do that I feel like even the longest of the longest breaks are too short for me. Well, maybe because I've never had those 3 months break kinda thing.

So today, my main event, was to make little cards and prepare my co-blogger's prezzie. Haha, I doubt she'll find out about her present before Thursday (which is when I'm going to give it to her before my days of freedom are numbered) since she barely reads this blog. (There's a jibe here, syen. Haha)

Yea, sorry, its inverted.

But as I was making the card for her prezzie, I realised that we have come a long way haven't we? She'll be hitting the big 2-0 on Jan 3rd. That would make it, if my calculations are right, 14 years of friendship?

To have gone through 14 years together is pretty long. So much so that now, she's leaving her teens behind and heading to the adulthood. I've been noticing this lately, but yes, I'm old. WE are old.

It hits you when you become the oldest kid in your tour group when you go on holiday.

It hits you when you go to a shopping complex and you see eager, overexcited, rowdy kids hanging out in groups ready to go for their movie or bowling or ice-skating or whatever they do these days.

It hits me when now, when I hang out with my friends, all I want to do is sit somewhere and talk for hours and hours. I remember when it used to be that our outings had to be packed with stuff to DO. We had to go bowling, go for a movie, just DO something. But now, a place to sit and talk for hours is good enough.

It hits me when some of my friends are actually in the working world already because now, high school seems like such a long time ago.

It hits me when groups, you know like how you always have your little clique in high school, don't matter anymore. Being able to go through the day alone without posse is pretty liberating. Individuals are the ones that matter. And I like being independent and doing stuff alone.

It hits me when I get really bored with, so bored with that I simply ignore childish antics.

You may think, "Are you insane? You're only 18. That's barely under the aged category." I may not be biologically old, but I think psychologically, I'm old and aged. Haha. And it's not that bad.

There are the randomest people in the world. Some obviously have decided to grace this blog with their presence. No offense, but its really kinda random to me.

Holidays are coming to an end soon. Sigh, the start of another epic "hard core" semester in med school looms in the very coming future.

Taiwan was fun. 8 days of good food. Good, epically fattening food. We're talking night market food every alternate days. I know I'm a partial "banana", but it's kinda cool that suddenly in Taiwan, my mandarin and hokkien improved..dramatically. Haha. I think it degraded by now.

Ah, I miss a lot of people in life. Sigh, sad how much just one year with them can bond people so much. It's sad that it could only be for one year. I miss you, Sydney buddies. *sniff*

Blows dust away

So yeap, virtual cobwebs have been collecting on this blog. Haha, it doesn't matter if I'm the only one who reads this, I'm prefectly content :)

Anyways, yea, I'm on break now from my hectic life of a med student. When I said before to a friend that GETTING into med school is the most difficult part of Medicine as compared to life when already IN med school, I must have delusional back then. Because, warning people, that is complete bullshit. Well, if you're in IMU anyway. Life in med school...well, its comparable to being stuck in a pool of diarrhoea.

Onto other matters...

I know Taylor Swift has the majority of the world rooting for her and supporting her and being in love with her and her wonderfully honest songs.

Well, I'm not saying that I'm a hater. I don't hate her. That would be too strong a word.

But I have a problem with her wonderfully honest songs. I mean yea sure, songwriters who use personal experiences make good song writers. But not when they go overboard with it like she did. Seriously, she basically used every single relationship that she had and turned it into a tune. The worst part for me is that everyone knows who she's singing about. Really, if she wanted the whole world to know about her life, why not just call a paparazzi up and I'm sure they'll be pleased to jot every word that comes out down.

To me, it feels like she's just using it...

1. To gain attention. Hello, didn't the media and entertainment industry have a field day when they heard her songs and read her lyrics? I mean, "Dear John"? Subtle much. It's basically saying, "Hello world. Buy my album and listen to me bitch about everybody who is a somebody."

2. The poor people that she's singing about! I mean, it's a total invasion of privacy! For argument sake, say I'm a dude and I dated her, and she ends up writing a song about me after we broke up, whether it's a positive song or a bad one about me regardless, to me, I'll be so annoyed. Relationships are meant to be private. Especially since the relationship has ended, it would be like, "Hey, wth, why are you telling the whole world about us? Who gave you the right to broadcast everything between us?"

3. Does she want another relationship in life? Or is she just planning to die alone? The way I see it, and I quote Beyonce again, if I were a boy, I would not date her (not saying that she would want to date me, but this is for argument sake). It's basically like dating one of those paparazzi people or dating one of those whores who'll leak out your relationship to the whole entire world. To me, thanks but no thanks.

4. Either it's no relationship or relationships based on sympathy. "Oh, poor girl, she had such bad relationships. No matter, I'll be the knight in shining armor. I won't break your fragile heart." Yea, then after the breakup with probably her ending the relationship, she'll write you a sorry song. Yes! New song for the new album!

Obviously she doesn't feel the way I do or she won't be writing those songs. One or two, fine. An ENTIRE album (even if it's not an entire album, it's a LOT of songs)? You've crossed the line.

Another update, another rant.

Immaturity. How on earth can someone be that immature? Seriously. If a girl hangs out along with a guy, does that mean that they're together? Hello, which era are you living in? The freaking stone age? And I'm sorry but dear Mr. Hypocritical, apparently I'M not the only person spending time alone with a member of the opposite sex. Looked in the mirror recently? How about reflecting your own life and actions before tossing such a ridiculous comment?

Lies Lies Lies. Brilliant, aren't they? Another sign of the lack of maturity. What exactly is the point in lying about something that I truly don't give a damn about? As if the truth is a big deal. Please, as if your life is that fan-freaking-tastic that I should really care that much about the truths of your life and judge you for it.

Self-absorbed, selfish, self-centered, self-obsessed. These are the words to describe you. I'm sure you must feel flattered at having so many words to describe yourself. But really, do you really think that THAT is more important than anything else in my life? Just because you seem to be lacking a life of your own does not mean that everyone else is sharing the same sad pathetic dilemma as you. For the rest of us more normal people who lead normal lives and who have normal packed schedules, THAT is not top priority in our lists. On the contrary, THAT is nowhere near our lists. Because, our lives do not revolve around THAT. Because woe is the world, when our lives begin to revolve around THAT.

I do my job well and I know it. So shoving me compliments after THAT will not change my opinion of you. It is going to take way more than just words and flattery. Haven't you heard? Flattery gets you nowhere. And in my case, I know that flattery was only used because of the success that THAT has become. Insincerity, I dislike.

And I mean this sincerely.

Apparently, people do read my blog! Haha! Okay, due to the little jibes (hint: Jit Tong, and Shu Yen, who really should update this blog too, you co-blogger -.- ) I've gotten for NOT updating the blog as frequently as I should, so I'm gonna update when I can, okay?

So what's new?

1. My Hair? Haha..

Actually that's pretty much it la.

The thing is I keep telling myself that I really need to get my super-nerd-SPM-times mode on, but it just doesn't want to click on. I dunno, that's really bad i know, considering this is the sem that I need to be really serious, plus my previous sem results weren't that good either. So yea..

And the thing is I keep telling myself not to be judgmental. I do stop myself from being that in certain cases, but there are just some, obviously I'm not gonna mention which cases, though if you ask me personally, I might tell you, depending on who thou are.

But yea, I think it's the human mind, to just make immediate assumptions. It's like before you can stop yourself, the thought just pops into your mind. And stays there too most of the time. So how? At most, I think all we can do is to keep telling ourselves, "okay la, stop being so judgmental." and try, I put emphasis on the try to dispel such thoughts from our minds.

On another note, drama is fascinating isn't it? When our own lives lack it, we watch it. Some create it. Some just can't live without it. Haha. Drama is like fire - combustible, burns you and the people around you sometimes, but yet, still needed in life.

Though I really don't want drama or my life to be happening. Dude, if you're reading this (which I highly doubt, haha), "eh, I like sad unhappening life la. Stop creating unnecessary drama involving me la. As if your own life not scandalous enough." *tsk tsk jun xian*

So the dental timetable and pbl grouping is out. So where is med's?? I tell you, super inefficient. I need to plan my holidays! Meh.

Had a day out with a few of my uni friends today, including teng huei to celebrate Jon Chen's birthday. It was fun actually. And..teng huei and I bumped into the elusive Tan Shi Yee and Ng Pooi Cheng.

It only occurred to us then that the only time the group of us met up was the last day of SPM. That was almost 2 years ago. And THAT makes me feel old. It's not so much the aging process that I'm talking about. It's more of a fact that all of us have moved on so much. No matter what one says about the other (I'm talking cryptic so if you don't get me, it's fine.) it still feels good to finally meet up with old friends from the past. There's this warm fuzzy feeling to just meet up. To just talk.

Yes, if those words sound familiar to you then you would understand that I am on a Gossip Girl marathon these days. Can't help it. No matter how shallow the show is, the drama and the fact that the show is filled with drama and beautiful people with beautiful clothes make the show unresistable to me. Hehe..so awesome.

Chuck and Blair need to be together and the fact that it took them sooo long to actually be together is a pain in the ass.

Jenny Humphrey wears far too much makeup for what, a 16 year old.

On a more normal-non fictional basis, I realised that sluts are found everywhere! hahaha..no seriously..haha..it's not that i have anything personally against them, it's just that some of the things they do make me cringe. Like dancing with your legs wide open with squatting and all that when your skirt is super short. Well, maybe the guys would like it, but still, self-dignity anyone?

Yea, you smell that? It's the smell of fresh freedom. :) (just imagine a big huge cheesy grin)

I am officially a sem 2 student! And frankly, even if noone reads this blog (apart from xiang jiek, thanks dude), there is an absolute need for me to announce that fact. Considering the fact that even a half a year step closer to me actually graduating as a general practitioner is brilliant. Think about it, it's such a loooong way to go that just a step, albeit a small one, is a big thing.

Plus, there's the possibility of not actually being able to make it till the end. That's a scary thought but the possibility still looms somewhere far far in the dark corner of that bright money-making future. So yea, being absolutely proud of every step is necessary. After all, celebrate the moment I say.

I am in such a bubbly happy happy mood.

Ooh..but the fact that people never believe that I slack is one annoying pain in the gluteus maximus. I mean, come on, EVERYONE slacks. To think that they would actually think that I bother lying about not nerding? What's the point? Just don't get those people. It gets pretty exasperating after constantly trying to convince them.

But..not today to rant. Because..I am in such a bubbly happy happy mood.

Why hello world.

It's been ages since anyone posted anything on this blog. So I won't be surprised if noone ever checks here again but heck.

Uni life is..hectic. That is to put it mildly. Studying just saps the life out of you. Like today, I felt so frustrated just sitting there and staring at my notes.

Anyway, on to more "deep" issues.

Dieting. I know, who cares if you look fat right? But that's the thing. People DO care. I mean, I have guy friends who go around asking, why do you even diet? Think about it dudes. Given a choice of a chubby/fat girl or a relatively skinny girl, which one would you more likely give a damn about?

Females diet because it's been ingrained into our minds that we have to look thin, to look hot, to look size 2. Even if we are totally comfortable with our bodies, we still feel the need to stay slim. I mean, if guys hadn't shown their preferences to slim women, we wouldn't even have bothered. (Let's leave the health issue out of this for now? :) ) Now IF men had preferred chubby women then all of us wouldn't have needed to think about staying slim, right? Wouldn't that be just awesome to be able to down all those lovely calories?

But anyway, luckily for us girls, we have begun to take a stand in this whole image issue. Now, we have our own demands too. Haha..guys must have relatively buff fit bodies..etc., hey, the list goes on for them too.

Well, it's a materialistic, shallow world we live in and who do we blame for this but ourselves?

After all, we're the ones who set the standards and the markers.

And I'm not complaining, I have no reason to. I'm just stating it like it is.

Ok i've been inactive for.. a few months now therefore, this post is gonna be long but Mel insists i write something on the blog haha so here goesss..

I'm officially a Uni student woohoo! Feels goood, but a little weird. Time is flying by too fast. It seems like only yesterday when we were terrified of SPM, and that happened 2 years ago! I still feel as though we're little kids sometimes.. what with all the nonsensical nonsense that we do!

Pictorial evidence will be revealed when i leave this country where no one can get me hehe (well at least until my next break anyway XD)

So far holidays have been great! First day i got back. Phil asked to go mamak cos he was starving. i thought it would only be a few of us and it wouldnt be that bad if i came a few minutes late. so i took a little nap. little did i know the guys went and called quite a lot of people who were supposed to surprise me. well.. surprise! i didnt make it cos i never woke up hahaha! I still appreciate the gesture though.

Next day, met up with the guys at one of our fav hangout spots, Station 1 Cafe. Which is also most famous for our (what jay refers to as) super LOL sessions. The foundation of a lot of teasing and inside jokes were mostly established there. Lots of memories! Pictures will be uploaded.. soon!

Also, we've been K'ing a LOT. Especially at Neway where we got scammed.. blaaardy. Only reason we still go there is for convenience and because it is the best place to relieve stress.

Went for bah kut teh 3 times in a single week with ex-lethians! Such a healthy bunch, aren't we? haha. Seeing as there was limited time to spend with the primary people from UK, Singapore and US, sacrifices were made.. i think i accomplished a record of most times in a row i've woken up so early ever during any holiday! Whether it was for tennis, gym, bkt, roti canai, kopitiam, ac, or simply to hang out at one of the many mega-malls in klang valley. In any case, it was still worth it since their holidays were so short =)

New Years Eve at Kyle house was really fun. Enjoyed the snow fight after countdown! Beats getting stuck in a 3 hour jam up and then another 3 hour jam down if we were to travel to Curve or KL.

New Years Eve before we went to Kyle's house? Not so much. Naturally.. our plan backfired. i still think it was sign from god telling us it was a bad bad idea especially on new years eve hahah!

Still.. gotta say I enjoyed my birthday the most! Particularly cause it felt really good sharing it with most of the ex-mates (both lethia and acmar). From start to end, to the day after. thanks to everyone who could make the dinner and also to those who wished me but couldnt make it =). It was nice to see we could still naturally click and crack up as though we never left school.

Of course.. the REAL FUN only started when we got to my house. and most of you know WHY! hehehehehe.. Ran out of alcohol unexpectedly fast. Shows how high we were which also explains how all the madness came about Lol! Due to the pact we made, too bad it cant be elaborated further. the rest i leave to your imagination hahahahah! I'm so glad none of the neighbours heard much of the noise we were making.. or reunion family dinners would be quite interesting with me having to explain myself!

Anyways few of em' slept over and we counted down to Sean's birthday! He was the first to KO due to exhaustion. Spent most of the next day at Pyramid and the night, steamboat, Sean's treat, then to Sean's house for his bday celebration & strip poker session!

Surprised Sam on her birthday, twice in a row. We had cze speed us up all cramped up in her myvi haha! And sam.. since u say you're gonna be ready next year, dont bother cos we'll just conjure up another plan hehe! Went to AC to meet her for lunch then back to JJ for bubble tea and a trip back to memory lane.

Mostly, we spend our time in btw. with tons of kopitiam, mamak, pool, bowling, arcade, malls, basically spending hours in gibberish conversations, the usual. Now, the last week before i go back to Aus.. and its getting really interesting >) Will update further.. soon. And.. i just noticed its 3 and i was supposed to be asleep 2 hours ago so Cze and Sean can wake me up for bkt in the morning XD!!! crap.. Ciao!!

Bored and in need of long words.

Yes, precisely as stated in the title of my post. I am indeed overcomed by an evil thing called boredom and in great need of stringing long words together. In other words, I am definitely not suffering from writers' block and I miss writing and composition.

So here is a warning, if you have absolutely no intention of reading such a long post, then don't. I'm not expecting everyone who chances upon this blog to read it and frankly, I don't even care if you do or don't. I just needed a place to put my thoughts to words. Every painter need canvas to paint on. So this is my canvas.

Where in the world does a guy such as Ji Ho actually exist? For those who have absolutely no idea who I'm talking about, imagine a guy, a guy who treats the girl that he likes like a perfect gentleman, regardless of the fact that the girl has absolutely no intention of returning his affections. He is a saint. He slices her food into smaller pieces so that it will be easier for her to eat. And in my general opinion, no guy will ever be this way towards a girl he likes but unfortunately, does not feel the same way about him. Of course, there will be guys who will try initially, I am not doubting them, but reality will sooner or later get the better of them and make them realise that it is an absolute waste of time to be fawning over a girl who has no intention and has already made it clear that she will never return his affections.

Real men of the real world are not that way. Frankly, it does not even bother me that such a Prince Charming does not exist. What I do find amusing is how some women of the world seem to think that such a man does exist. The idea of Prince Charming certainly exists and it is that very idea that these women are in love with. We all have our ideas of our own Prince Charming. Women are just creatures with imagination that are frankly too big for our own good. So yes, we all have our versions of Prince Charming but if it is one kind of guy that I don't approve of, it is a guy such as this. But then again, even our own versions of The Perfect Guy does not exist. I mean, we can come close to perfection but we can never actually get perfection.

Huh. How did me talking about Boys Over Flowers end up in some philosophical talk about Prince Charmings. Anyway, apologies to those who do not agree with me and my general thoughts and ideas. *shrug*

5. Legends of the Fall (this was good. Brad Pitt was good. But his life was pathetically sad, having all the people about him dying)

I'm a couch potato. Haha..and that's the truth. My idea of holiday includes just slacking around the house doing absolutely nothing and watching a hell lot of TV.

And here's a review (a very short one) on the stuff I've watched.

I absolutely HATE Miley Cyrus. Sorry, hate would not be the right word. LOATHE. What would suddenly cause this sudden dislike of her? Because, I watched her "Party in the USA" video. She cannot sing. Fullstop. Thats it. Her voice is all synthetic-y. All computer generated.

Rihanna. Shudder. How can people even think that Lady Gaga is a man when everything clearly points out that Rihanna's the actual man? I used to think she was quite pretty, quite ok. Well not anymore. Fireflies by Owl City. Okay, so they don't have the best vocals. But for some strange reason, I like the song. Haha. It's actually stuck in my head now. :) Now see this? This is GOOD synthetic and computer generated.

Now movies:

Yes, today, finally, I watched (yes, Phil) High School Musical 3. Hahahahahha. Whilst switching to Twilight during commercials. Sigh.

My review: The cheesiest scene would have to be that scene when Gabriella suddenly pops out from the crowd singing while they were at that basketball match. It was so incredibly cheesy that I winced the moment she popped out.

And the way Troy and Gabriella stared at each other with looks that were positively oozing with overbearing affection. *shudder*

Look, I'm a romantic. May not seem so but I'm the one with the whole waiting for prince charming to show up thing. Haha. But THAT? Is just TOO much. Not just HSM, Twilight had its share of incredibly sappy moments too. I know, it's like I'm having a bad-movie marathon.

But it's not too bad. It had some good moments I suppose.

Ok, when Twilight first came out, I used to think that Robert Pattinson cast as Edward wasn't that bad. Not as bad as Kirsten Steward cast as Bella. But he has the same effect on me as Rihanna. The more I look at him, the more hideous I think he looks.

And I'm not including another picture of him. No.

Complications

So it comes down to this. Within hours, we'll be apart. And then?

Times have changed much since. We said that we'll be together, no matter what. Every single moment that we shared. I remember the times at the beach, even with the sun blinding me, I could still catch the smile that I grew so fond of from afar. I remember your laughter that I've grown so accustomed to whenever I express my hatred for coffee, something which you never did understand and found amusing. I remember the brush of your hand against my cheek when you brush away the strands of my hair, unkept from the warm Sydney wind.

But what about this? Can we ever be prepared for this?

The thought of this, the mere topic of it, we never did touch upon. We never did dared. For how can anyone predict of what's to come?

The uncertainty of it scares me. The idea that this may end haunts me. It's a thought that often occurs in the depths of my sub-conscious mind. And yet, my fear for the truth pushes the thought out of my mind before it can get any further.

Why venture into something that you don't know?

But that was before. That was when this future seemed so far away. But it no longer is.

It's now staring at me, screaming for answers. The questions, so many of them - where do we stand? Where will this go? Should I be waiting?

But will you answer me?

And will you give me the answer that I want?

I'm leaving in less than 12 hours. You told me, that moment, when I rushed to you with the question, to wait for the answer. And so I will.

Graduation Party '09

Yea man. Yeap..graduation party was yesterday. So signals the end of another part of my life. Not to mention one that I'll definitely miss - all our crazy moments and ridiculous times.

I enjoyed myself..haha..of course..

There was free-flowing wine. Of course I can't order alcohol from the bar, what with me being under-18 and everything. But hey, I can't order alcohol, that doesn't mean I can't get my hands on one. xD hehe. But a few mouthfuls of wine aint much..

It was on a cruise..so the view was awesome..dance floor was awesome (well i enjoyed it at least)..I was partially deaf from the loud music when we finally docked back..haha..

Bahh everyone seems to be going back so soon! I think im probably gonna be the last person to fly home. And almost everyone is done with exams and have holidays now. Can't wait to meet all the peeps back in malaysia. Gonna be having celebratory 'get togethers' for some people. I'm so proud of u guys!

One of em being Sam of course for making it as one of the top6 on 8tv quickie host search!! Woooh! GOO SAM! hahahah! And those people from high school talking smack and insulting her, quit being immature whiny bitches lah. booohoo.. Grow Up and Get Over It!

As for what i've been doing these past few weeks. Been wanting to create an exercise routine but it always fails.. fatigue and laziness always finds a way to overwhelm me. Went over to uwa after school for a session of badminton/basketball last week with snow's gang, alyssa, keith, patricia and kai yi. had a nice workout. It's the only time i actually feel fit ><. Gonna try squash this week!

Oh and the guys have been utilizing the games room quite frequently these few days especially since they've got a ps3 to play on a big LCD screen with practically no uni students around! hehehe. can't fully enjoy it tho.. guilty conscience keeps telling u to study study study..

Exams are in 2 weeks! My dad up'ed the stakes now.. he says he'll get me a car IF i can get into UWA.. yay! But if i dont get the right grades to do my course then i'm screwed.. in so many different ways.. arrrgh!! this plus other.. shitty factors are only building up the never ending stress and pressure.. to those concerned, thanks for lending an ear. its very much appreciated =)

now.. where is that beloved punching bag in my bro's room when i need it?

On the other hand, We were talking about 2012 in English class few days ago, according to the Mayan calendar, judgement day would be somewhere in that year.. so.. yep.. Emma (our EAL1 teacher) suggested we take 2 years off since we're all gonna die before we even get a proper degree =p

We might not even get to watch the London Olympics in 2012! awww..

lol.. yes we've all become quite pessimistic people.

All thanks to our lectures about the fall of all the ancient civilizations that perished because they were progressing too rapidly..

Which basically reminds us that we are all gonna die like the rest of the Sumerians, Mayans, Neanderthals etc. Damn sad right?

Hahahahha..soo..

there's this Halloween Pizza and Pasta Dinner tonight at UniLodge..and as usual for the free food events, we had to sign up..but for today, because of the Halloween special, there was a lucky draw, where u basically draw stuff out of a box (like duh, you don't need me to tell you how a lucky draw works).

I put my hand it and picked out a star thingy..showed it to the people in charge and they all exchanged glances..

I was thinking..well..can i get my little box of sweets? (that's what everyone was getting)

Then they said..there, that gumball machine..you won it..

firstly.. kudos to Mel for keeping this blog alive !

i've just been too lazy to blog hahaha.. but im bored now and i've also realized i havent blogged in a LONG time

Class blog is up and running again! Even though we've all matured, went separate ways and all.. its great that we can still crap like nobody's business and never run out of things to talk about.. makes me think about how much I miss u guys!

Also, Halloween is just around the corner.. haven't yet found anything to wear for the Halloween river cruise!! bahhh.. and no mel.. no birthday suits.. i might get thrown offboard into the cold pink jellyfish infested waters..

And I STILL have yet to decide what i am going to do when i get into uni.. seems like a lot of uni students have been complaining about biomed.. saying its neither here nor there.. and that a degree in biomed isn't that worth anything unless u do masters aswell.. sighhh

On top of that, searching for a house is another pain.. Haven't figured out how many people are moving in yet since none of us are sure where we're going just yet.. o wells i might just move in with my brothers instead.. I'll be able to use the car when my bro doesn't have classes.. I miss driving my own CAR!

Anyway, yea, I couldnt remember the words of that poem so I was sitting there, scrunching my nose (sam, u probably know this face from sitting so close to me during exams), concentrating, trying to force it out.

Hmph. So here's the sad story of the amount of internet i have here. 12 GB for 12 months. That's prepaid because I 'm still under 18 and I don't have a guardian to help me get a postpaid plan.

So yes, I'm stuck with with 12 GB for 12 months.
And recently (about 4 days ago?), I was happily surfing the net and then suddenly, they told me that I have no credit left and therefore, I cannot access to the net anymore.

Yeaaaa...

I checked again and again. For 2 days. I emphasize- 2 days.

And nope, I can't access to the net. And I was devastated wondering how the hell did I finish up 12 GB when I don't even download ANYTHING.

So, I couldn't stand not having internet access anymore. And off I went on my merry way to purchase more. And I did.

$49 for 4 pathetic GB.

So, yesterday, I switched on my computer and clicked on Safari, wanting to go to My3 to recharge.

And then I realised.

That yes. I did have internet. Because I clicked on Yahoo and the page loaded. So I went to My3 and checked.

I have 7GB left. 7GB.

And I have already bought another 4GB for $ 49. What the hell for??

In conclusion, I hate internet services here. THEY CHEAT ME.
I'd rather stick to my slow but trusty Dial-up back in Malaysia any day.

Long Overdue Post

Week 5 is starting which means its time for stress and breakdowns!

I have:
3 Tests which counts towards our final grade
1200 word Bio research report
Descriptive Maths Verbal + Written Report
Predictive Maths Written Research + Oral Presentation
AND a 2000 word essay due Thurs. Stupid A-hole of a teacher rejects our thesis statements like 9 times and only approves it during the weekend. (And we cant start until it gets bloody gets approved) OMG! UGHHHH!

Ohh and Currie's Killer game starts this week.. Great timing, cant wait to get killed studying in the damn library or on the way back to our rooms in the middle of the night =.=

Stress aside, we've had our fair share of fun the last few weeks. Now its time to hit the books =/ The A400's finally got a chance to set up an event for Currie Hall. We were assigned to organise the Welcome Dinner for the Uni Freshies in Sem 2. Theme was Op Shop Night! (We were supposed to grab whatever we can from charity stores and 'creatively' mismatch all our clothes) Had a good time with the new batch of A400's =).

24 people.. and more than half of our floor moved out..(mostly for uni) the atmosphere has really changed. Not much noise, craziness, fun, nonsense anymore. I know its not a good thing, but i miss how we could always just walk into each others room in the middle of the night and talk until we got ready for school the next morning without even sleeping XD. And also the funny fact that at the stroke of midnight everyone would just come out for supper and we would just sit outside chilling. ok enough with the emo-ness.. it isnt all that bad now tho. We've gotten closer to the new batch of A400's and its been fun so far =)

Went for Currie's River Cruise during the weekend. Though most were uni students, it turned out to be pretty fun. Theme was Gangsters & Flappers. Loved the old school music on the dancefloor. Most disappointing thing was that there wasnt a free flow of drinks like everyone thought there was haha. Solution? Headed to The Deen and Paramount after.

Also, we've currently been helping Kenneth and Calvin out with their Media Project, creating a movie trailer. They came out with the idea of making a horror/thriller, whereby Thinn is the psychotic girlfriend of Joseph, the guy who is having an affair with Olivia. It also seems that Joseph has been having lots of affairs with other girls, thus the string of murders and bloodtrails.. lol!

Something flashed across her face. Whatever her expression had been, it did not matter. What was left that showed was a cool and calm mask that carefully shielded away her annoyance at the silly student's pestering about the matter.

Claudia raised an eyebrow at the girl's pestering. She leant back against the hard plastic back of the chair.

Why is SHE so deserving of this title? Come, let us go through the many factors that make her worthy of such an epic title.

1. SHE's so awesomely, brilliantly smart!
2. SHE shines sooo much in our class that we are just so blinded by Her.
3. SHE loves our teachers so much that it clearlly shows!
4. SHE loves us classmates SO MUCH that every time we ask her for help, she is so freaking ENTHUSIATIC! She replies in such loving and caring tones that makes us all fall in love with her even more than we alrady have...

Enough with the sarcasm. I need to rant now.

took print media & music this term as an extra unit and im absolutely loving it
Emma is one of the best teachers ever.
She'd just add a lot of sarcastic remarks, sit back and laugh her ass off as the class breaks into open disputes til the point that they get all red faced and grumpy. most of them are of the KIASU race of course =p
Hoping to get into Media for tv and film next term tho the class might already be full

One of the inspirations for the mag cover is of course the Lady Gaga concert we went to d week before. It was really good, she sings really well live. Cant say the same for the Pussycat Dolls =.= they were supposed to be the main act and they kept going out of tune

Went to Metros the weekend before Prom and met up with a whole lotta Taylors students

only got back to currie at 7am+ just in time to join the rest for breakfast

Gonna miss all the June graduates this semester!!!
And half of them arent even gonna be in the same country, let alone UWA..

missing the LAST train back..

Sorry for the cobwebs on the blog.. i know.. havent updated for almost a month now =p

Been trying to study everyday (whoaaa! i know.. key word, 'trying' hehe) at the library.. the college keeps making changes to the damn syllabus! Its getting more difficult for us to achieve our required average now.. An up-side of this term is i get to take MC2 - Media for the fun of it and also to get one of the best teachers in the college who also happens to be my EL3 teacher this term =D! We get to discuss gossip, study magazines and music for our assignments.. weee!

Also.. Finally got a FOOSBALL table the A400's have been talking about since last term.. Few of us chipped in and got it right away when we saw it on discount at carousel! And alll those people who said they didnt know how or wouldn't bother playing foosball are more addicted to it or better at the game than I am! hahaha.. Losers always have to treat the winners to bubble tea =.=

On a whole different note, there are tons of stuff coming up.. Next few weeks are gonna be hectic!!
All the assignments will be due Week 5.. pfft

And the poker tournament is coming soon for Currie Residents.

anyway..schedule's hectic..9 to 5 with unbelievably loong breaks in between..

school is a walk away from the unilodge and u'll definitely realise that u're nearing the uni when you start to smell the stink of horse dung..(racecourse is right opposite the uni)..lectures are fine..tutorials are fine..but my pile of homework is going nowhere..lol..

only four guys in my class,BL1 (excluding the BP1 students)..one jap and three koreans..the rest are girls..

i would post up some pictures from the city tour but i dont wanna use up my upload/download thing..i only have 1 GB for one month..

and marcus, i dont have to call the indian guy anymore..heh..=D

The Final Outing

Haha. My title sounds like some sort of horror flick where gruesome deaths are involved. Haha.

Anyway, went out with the guys today. When I say guys, I really mean GUYS. As in I'm the only girl there.

And it was FUN. So thank you Jay Min, Ruei Pern, Kyle Ng, Vhimal, and Yong Sheng for willing to spend the afternoon with me! It was simple. Just makan, snooker and bowling. We intended to go for a movie (which Vhi and Kyle were suddenly very eager to go for when they reached the cinema for some suspicious reasons) but there wasn't enough time.

Headed off to the bowling alley for bowling but unfortunately, the whole place was packed. So Jay and Ruei Pern suggested that we go Klang Parade for bowling instead. Here's where I thank you guys. I know I told you guys about how much I wanted to bowl and so thanks guys for being so obliging. =D

I actually have a pic of the bowling thing but it's in my hp, so forget it. And here are the nicknames, Gutter Boy/Chosen 1 (Vhi scored the highest = 99), Mellow (Me), Striker (rp), Gutter (Kyle), 16kgballs (sheng), Jayhoe (jay). *snicker*

Of course, as results day go, there is always the good and the bad. The happy and the sad.

To those who are happy, congratulations on your results! You obviously got what you wanted! =D So, good job and congrats again!

To those who are not entirely happy or disappointed with their results, don't worry too much about it. It's SPM. There's more to come in the future. So work harder. It ain't over till you say it's over. And I'll punch you if you say it's over. I'm serious.

So, I went to school and collected my results. Then..Sam and I went to 1 Utama to celebrate/hang out. Haha.

Went makan at a new restaurant (well,it's new to me at least) called Garden.

Was there for quite awhile. Then we walked about rather randomly and aimlessly.

Then we decided to try the overpriced chocolate at a place called Chocolate. *redundancy* *rolls of eyes*

Yummy, thick chocolate Little Janes. But overpriced. Haha.

Again, walked around aimlessly. Until about 5. Then Sam had to go home.

Okay..finally i watched it..

Slumdog Millionaire

and I like it. I think it deserved the wins. I liked the way the whole movie was in bits and pieces. Brilliant pasting and cutting of scenes. And the emo parts. The whole depressing portrayal of the miserable lives of the poor. And their miserable luck. But i found the whole 'destiny' thing very bollywood fairy tale. Haha..

Went to ipoh during the weekends. For a food fest. Hahaha. Wanted to try the 'tong sui' that most modern kids don't get a chance to eat nowadays.

We had: (all in cantonese)

1. hong tau sah ~ red bean soup (common)

2. wan tou long~ direct translation would be..err...dizzy something..its shaven ice with lemon jelly with a squeeze of lime. sweet and my fav by far.

3. kai tan tong sui~ direct translation would be chicken egg sweet soup..haha..its a boiled egg in herbal sweet soup that tastes like gui ling gao (herbal jelly)

4. chu cap chuk~ pig organs porridge (it sounds weird but hey, chinese eat everything. and its not bad)

5. wan tan mee~ u ppl don't need me to talk about this.

6. fish head mee hoon

7. hor hee ~its actually just hor fun soup but for some reason, ipoh people call it this way

Okay. I watched the Academy Awards this morning. (one of the plus points for staying at home-I get to watch all these award shows live). It was alright.

But one thing caught my attention.

When the camera focused into Mickey Rourke's face when he was nominated for Best Actor in A Leading Role in The Wrestler, the camera also caught Robert Pattinson who was sitting a couple of seats behind Mickey. And here's the thing. I couldn't help wondering why Rob was so pale.

Granted, Brits are suppose to be paler compared to Americans but seriously. Was it makeup or is he seriously that pale? And the added effect of the black shadows under his eyes.

Wasn't just that. He was whats-the-word, glaring or staring from under his eyebrows. That sorta angry look that he gives when he was Edward Cullen.

Is he really like that all the time or was he simply channeling too much of Edward Cullen?

So for those of you who missed it,

Best Actor: Sean Penn in Milk (they probably wouldn't show this in M'sia because of the homosexuality elements)

Pre-Valentine's Valentines Day

One of the best valentines i've ever had =)
Met up and hung around the rooms for everyone to get ready then went for lunch in the dining hall before heading through the city to Northbridge for a game of LaserTag =D

Waiting area

14 ppl split into 3 teams.. it was sooo fun and a great workout.. i ranked 6th weii hehehe

Walked back to the city for a bit of shopping until nighttime

Went to NorthBridge Chinatown for dinner.. the food was freaking delicious!! Never thought i'd miss chinese food so much

After dinner those from homestays had to go back unfortunately.. the rest of us from Currie hall split into 2 groups, 1 group willing and daring enough to walk all the way back to currie through the city =D.. and the other group.. who missed out waiting sooo long for the bus coz they were tired XD.. wahahaha i bet you guys regretted it!!

Got to explore the city, walking through a lot of nice little districts and little street cafes.. the view was spectacular and the weather was nice and breezy

During our walk, halfway back along Matilda Bay, we found that the rest had just boarded the bus.. the bus usually goes along the same road.. so to screw with their heads we ran all the way to the bus stop and caught the same bus just in time hahahahaha.. omg the look on their faces were priceless.. made us laugh even harder.. the other passengers on the bus must've thought we were nuts lol..
Didnt plan on sleeping.. so when we got back, we unloaded all our stuff, changed and went back out just in time to celebrate valentines day at 12 0'clock haha.. quite a few people were already in the courtyard.. uni students aswell.. hung around for abit then headed toward the river..

tho we got sidetracked to UWA lol..

wondered around and found the sunken garden which is supposedly where everyone goes when they skip lectures.. After awhile, it started drizzling.. wandered into some old creepy passageway that led to a carpark.. stood around figuring where we were then ran all the way down to the underpass through the garden sprinklers and rain..

Headed straight for the dining hall when we reached Currie.. The hot chocolate and lattes felt soo relaxing with alyssa's piano solos

Crashed in Seans room after where the guys were playing poker.. It was around 5am by then and we were so tired that 4 of us actually fell asleep on a single-sized bed lol!! Woke up in the morning feeling so blur.. Sean actually had to sleep in Josephs room for the night ><

Next day everyone was too stoned the entire afternoon so our sunset by the beach plan was postponed =.= The ex-foundation and currie hall students came to visit in the evening so we decided to join them for dinner at Fremantle.. they headed back to Currie for drinks later on

Went to city for one last round of shopping after school, then went for a run by the river.. pretty much the same routine when we're bored

I'm semi-grounded by choice for awhile.. Tests are in a week and the project datelines are in a week or two.. gotta start studying!! Have to write 1200-1500 word essays and written reports aswell as oral presentations for EACH and EVERY subject! ahhhhh.. bring on the Red Bull and sleepless nights..

Perth!!

Life in Perth is good so far.. Assignments and Projects are piling up.. staying up past 1 everyday just to finish my assignments.. and no its not because im hardworking, its because i procrastinate a lot in the afternoon >< going to the city or just hanging around the dorms..

English class here is super tough! It makes the english they teach in form 5 look like std 1 work.. I actually have to read a whole chapter on READING and ANALYZING stuff you read.. and i didnt understand a single thing damn thing the first time i went through it.. now i have to write a thesis and a 1500 word essay!! arghh..

Putting all the academics aside.. Hostel life is going GREAT! Its sooo fun.. and im grateful i was able to get a spot in Currie Hall.. waiting list is super long.. Coz its the only residential college that rents out 1 floor to foundation students in perth.. so those who dont get in will have to go for homestay..

love the nice weather and the clean soft ground they have.. you can actually study or fall asleep on their lawns wei..

Going for late night jogging sessions along Matilda Bay. Once we actually jogged all the way to the city.. went out for 3 hours and came back 30 mins past 12

Best thing is.. Some of us had assignements and hw due the next day.. haha.. we never planned on jogging for so long.. bathed and went down to the dining hall at 1+am.. omg do u know how hard it is to start an assignment so late after a 2 hour run?? coffee didnt even kick in =.=

Recently celebrated Alyssa and Nathan's birthday!! surprised them at midnight with an ice-cream cake haha.. Keith u OWE ME and Nadia for 'walking' all the way to IGA to find a cake =p and also Rudy for the bags of bubble tea everyone ordered and we had to carry back because we were kind enough to accompany u.. XD

Came back for Bangkok. Nothing much.

Stayed in a really nice 5 star hotel that is connected to a shopping complex that is similar to Sungai Wang. My family got the suite. Damn big. Really nice place to stay in.

Went for two ah kua shows. Haha.

The 'ladies' are so much prettier than actual girls. They have bodies that are even more perfect than regular girls.

Then on the flight back to Malaysia, when the plane had just touched down, the lights inside the plane blacked out.

And the whole plane being rather full with Malaysians, they had the typical Malaysian reaction.

That is the moment the lights went out, they went "Owwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......."

Imagine. The whole plane.

It was so typically Malaysian that I couldn't help but burst out laughing. Quite loudly actually. Not the silent laughter. The laughter with the "Ahahahhah!!"

And from my point of view, I could see the Caucasian guy in the seat behind mine staring at me as if there was something wrong with me. He must have been wondering 'What was wrong with this girl? A blackout and she bursts out laughing?'

Lights came back on after another second anyway.

I watched a movie today.

And it reminded me of what I had to say about u and I.

Throughout it, I'm wondering why u and I have such a love-hate relationship.

Why do u and I fight so much?

One moment, u and I may very much be in love.

Next moment, u and I may be biting each other's head off, telling each other how much we just hate each other.

Is that normal?

Tell me, is that normal?

For two to have such an ever-changing relationship.

It's unreasonble. Almost unhealthy.

Yet why?

Why do u and I still put up with it?

It's ridiculous.

Sometimes, I want to just yell for it to stop. The unfairness of it all. For all of this to end.

But nothing I say will ever change anything. Everything will remain the same.

Either parties won't raise the white flag and surrender.

Why? Pride. Bloody pride.

I mean, come on.

How can two alphabets have such a horrid relationship?

Why is it just U and I?

Why not the rest?

When people are mad, they say I hate U.

When they are happy or in love, they say I love U.

The worst part is when people text. Then these victims are really misused. Abused.

Why put two letters in such an awkward position?

Seriously.

A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W,X,Y,Z

So many alphabets in the series and yet only the letters U and I get singled out and abused.

And to those who thought that I was actually talking about MY relationship with an actual someone.

Hahahahhahhaha.

You (notice i actually spelt it out?) need to know me better.

And to those who still don't get what I'm trying to say, read again.

Take your time and process everything.

So people, stop misusing the alphabets U and I. Next time when you want to address a person, type the whole word.

Type the entire word, YOU instead of just shorthanding and typing the alphabet U.

Yea. Besides the fact that everyone else has started college, there is absolutely nothing new in my life.

So, what I'm doing with my life now until March?

~I've started reading a new Cecelia Ahern book called Thanks For The Memories that I've just bought.

~I've started exercising. Not that it makes a lot of difference considering that my input of food is always more than my output amount of exercise.

~I've started reading my sister's STPM/Matriculation Biology book. I do not understand A LOT of things.

~I'm still glued to the television. There's a new channel called AXN Beyond..

~I've started watching a Korean drama series called Iljimae.

~I've gotten rid of all my form 4 and form 5 textbooks today. Gave them all to Thuan Jian.

~I'm able to play Yiruma's River Flows In You/Bella's Lullaby from Twilight from my memory.

Yea. Besides that?

Nope. There's nothing at all.

Although..I'll write again when I do start my tuitions.

On the eve of my bday - me, jay, ruei pern, keat tong joined phil at the mamak coz he just got back from uk and was hungry.. sat there until the start of my birthday wheee.. jay and rp kept asking me to go somewhere n to call ppl.. on the way back, the 4 of them lowered the windscreens and starting shouting the happy birthday song out the window.. haha.. thanks for the nice yet freaking embarassing gesture guys ><

the morning of my bday, ruei pern asked me to go early bowling at kp.. didnt really bother for awhile coz i was really sleepy.. then him and phil kept on messaging me to get up and go bowling.. suddenly sean out of nowhere called and said hes joining us aswell.. which was quite unusual since he's never joined us much..

ok then nvm.. sean said he was hungry so we went for breakfast at station 1.. supposedly 'waited' for vhimal who was 'still' at the school while eating.. vhimal said he'll take awhile so we went kp.. i wanted to play pool but the guys insisted on bowling.. while bowling the first game i didnt notice rp sneak off with his phone.. halfway through he said he wanted to top up and play another game.. ok.. then after bowling they say wanna go play daytona.. hung at the arcade for awhile till jay called rp telling him he was back from his 'brunch with relatives from singapore'.. ask us to pick him up.. when we reached his house he said hes not ready yet and would take abt 5 mins.. so he suggested we come in and wait.. i walked in and sat infront of the piano which coincidently blocked my view.. and then..

SURPRISE!! out of nowhere everyone appeared with a cake and started singing a birthday song! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I was just standing blur/shocked for a second hahhaha.. i REALLY didnt expect it mann.. really really touched by the surprise!!! after they finished the song they brought 2 more cakes out and started another birthday song.. this time with sean and shi yee's names in it LOL!!! Now THEY were left speechless hahahaha.. (Sean's bday is on the 5th and Shi yee's is on the 6th of Jan)

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for the surprise Jay Min, Ruei Pern, Sam, Sean, Shi Yee, Ju Ann, Pooi Cheng, Phil, Kyle, Lin Cze, Keat Tong, Vhimal, Sheng, Deepan, and Ervin!! Also, Thanks to Mel and Chay Ann for helping with all the planning but wasn't able to make it =)

They even manipulated shi yee and sean.. got sean to distract me in order to distract HIM from HIS surprise.. and got shi yee to stay out of the fridge and hide behind the door so she couldnt see her OWN cake ><

After hanging around jays house for a bit, the 4 cars drove to Bkt Tinggi Jusco..

walked and stood around like some sort of gathering.. lol..

Had lunch at Kim Gary and Kinsahi.. Thanks Teng Huei, Guan Thiam for joining us awhile and also to hunt for my present haha.. then all of us went our separate ways.. Me, Rp, Phil, Sean, Jay went back to KP and played pool and 8-ball for abt 2 hours.. then we went over to Pak Li Kopitiam in BBK for dinner..

It was really an awesome day.. Best birthday surprise ever.. really appreciate it! i am gonna miss you guys sooo much when i leave =( Speaking of which i am having my farewell party on the 17th of January 2009 at my house!! Its on a saturday and its gonna be for dinner.. who's invited? you know who you are!

Since im leaving for Hanoi in an hour im gonna give the birthday surprise victims an early birthday wish coz i wont be able to wish u on the real day hehe

Sorry. I know. Incredibly late post. But the computer takes forever to upload the images. There are more..but it just all takes to damn long.

Anyway...

To end my wonderful year, 2008, I got to spend it with a bunch of my closest and oldest friends. There may be few but it was good enough. (sorry to these people if they wanted the photos. Computer was extremely slow.)

Kyle had a countdown barbeque for us at his house.

It felt really good to spend the last few moments of the wonderful year I had with this bunch.

Btw, went to Subang Parade the other day (as in recently), and saw a woman with those t-shirts saying ''Miss Boobjob''. What puzzles me is WHY anyone would wear such a shirt?? And to add it all up, her boobs are kinda big. I think she's trying to tell the world something. But seriously, if she did have a boob job, why on earth she displaying it to the world is beyond my comprehension. It's either she did get one OR she doesn't understand the meaning of ''boobjob''. Oh well.

Last week of the year

Last week.. went to the gym with Nat and Huia Lee at KGSAAS early in the morning.. spent quite some time there.. mostly camwhoring and lazing around hahaha Bathed and had lunch at the club.. Accompanied Hl to Bkt Tinggi Aeon to shop for some stuff and had dinner at Kinsahi

The next attempt at going to the gym ended up in failure however =.= Kyle came over and we went to fetch Huia Lee early in the morning again but there was a massive jam at Kampung Jawa because of a broken down bus blocking the entire road.. so.. we tried following the signboards for another way out.. Alas.. we found ourselves on the way to Teluk Gong.. LOL! We were on some highway.. i think Kesas when we saw Bukit Tinggi Jusco so we quickly turned in.. and got stuck in the bloody usual jam across the bridge.. sigh.. Wasted a whole lot of time.. then we picked Teng huei and had lunch at Centro.. After, we went KGSAAS where we attempted to work at our farewell song..

Natalie joined us and we headed off to Sunway Pyramid.. Walked around and shopped a bit before resting at Haagan Daaz where one generous Kyle Ng belanja'd natalie, huia lee and me dessert.. thanks Kyle!!!
We were almost fully contented when.............................. some Caucasian psycho sat down at the table next to ours and started mumbling to himself.. 2 Malay dudes behind us must have glanced at him because he suddenly stood up and started yelling at them to stop looking at him.. blabbered on about there being a lot of other channels to watch.. and something about the World Wide Web?? the 2 malay dudes were just sitting there stunned and indicated that they didnt DO anything.. nevermind.. after that he went to the counter to order coffee and a scoop of icecream.. i think the cashier must've heard him wrong because he started yelling YET again.. said that he wouldnt repeat himself.. and then shouted at them asking if they were worried he wouldn't pay.. the worst part came 2 minutes or so later.. he started SCREAMING.. shouting his head off at the cashier saying that he wanted his coffee NOW!!! and then started cursing saying that you people are assholes.. cant do anything.. bla bla bla.. he kept on yelling NOW NOW NOW!!! as Haagen Daaz is situated around the escalators in one of the middle areas.. his repeating shouts of I WANT MY COFFEE NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW could be heard literally echoing across the area.. Note that he only waited a whole.. TWO MINUTES before he started sreaming.. People all around and on the escalators started taking notice and a crowd gathered around Haagen Daaz.. Meanwhile.. we were sitting right NEXT to the bloody madman.. waiting for our change coz the waitress was too scared to go and get it.. when she finally went back and got OUR money, the guy blocked her way, snatched OUR change and threw it across the table screaming at her for taking his money and giving his change back without even giving him his coffee.. by then we couldn't take it anymore.. we were so freaked out as he was standing right BEHIND us.. slowly stood up and ran for the escalators..
That was one freaking scary experience wei.. and it happened on CHRISTMAS EVE!!

Well.. we eventually recovered and had a nice time at Huia Lee's house.. Thanks for the delicious dinner Huia Lee! gonna miss you loads when u leave for UK =/

Yes man was not bad.. quite funny at some parts but not so much to make us high with laughter.. a lot of people say its good.. still.. nothing beats Madagascar 2.. waiting for a comedy that can make me laugh so much that my stomach aches throughout the entire movie like it did during Madagascar.. although.. it may have been because of the 'freedom from SPM' fever then.. i dont know.. Lol..

It was really good to see everyone after so long!Met up and had morning coffee at Starbucks in Jusco then off to 1Utama. Vincent.. for all your talk on driving.. you drive INCREDIBLY SLOW!!! The girls were complaining coz we had to keep waiting at the side of the road for their car to catch up =.= Had brunch at Dave's Pizza Pasta Vino

After we walked around for a bit then met up at Neway.. took some time searching for it since it was hidden behind the damn arcade next to the parking lot.. well we paid for a medium sized room which was available to us until 7pm.. and so we decided not to waste out money and spent 5 hours there hahahaha.. camwhored a whole LOT

sang/shouted/screamed until our throats ran dry

and danced til we were half past dead by the time we left

After calming down from being super high.. we drove over to Curve for dinner at the Apartment

Daman Gochi(no idea how to spell it)!!! (Day 1)

It's the virtual pet thing that was in craze a few years ago when I was in primary. It's something like the digimon thingy but this doesnt fight. You just feed, play, and clean the poop of the virtual pet.

Found it lying around in the cupboard and just decided to ask my mom to put in new batteries. Hey, if I cant have an actual pet, why not a virtual one?

Paintball Anyone?

Went to Shah Alam yesterday to check out the paintball facilities at the Extreme Park. Compared to other places we've seen its considerably cheap. It has a jungle terrain and its considerably big. The park also has rock climbing, blouder climbing, skateboard course, archery and futsal. Teng huei suggested we go for go-kart'ing so we went to Shah Alam Stadium.

It was really hot and there were alot of people so we just gave up and went to Sunway instead. When we reached there we realised that none of us really knew the way. LOL drove around for awhile and ended up in a traffic jam so we just decided to go back to Klang to avoid the massive jam. Had lunch/tea/drinks at Jusco then went to Klang Parade for KTV hehehe.

We got a middle sized room which was pretty big for 4 people. Never went karaoke before so it was pretty fun hahaha. Having a little ex-lethian reunion tomorrow. Can't wait =D
